The New Distribution Center of Prometeon in the State of São Paulo Has Capacity to Stock 8 Thousand Tires for the Agro Segment
On Thursday morning (10/28), Prometeon, formerly Pirelli, inaugurated a 4,000m² logistics distribution center at the Santo André factory in the state of São Paulo. The space has capacity to stock over 8,000 tires. The company invested R$ 8 million. The mayor of Santo André, Paulo Serra (PSDB), the vice-mayor, Luiz Zacarias, and the Secretary of Development and Employment Generation, Evandro Banzatto, attended the inauguration. Investments in the New Distribution Center
Eduardo Fonseca, CEO of Prometeon for the Americas, highlighted the importance of the new distribution center. “We have been working for a long time on ways to improve the operation of our structure in Brazil, aiming to serve our customers more efficiently, with less bureaucracy and wasted time in the processes. The new, more modern and efficient location will help us a lot in this regard, especially by enhancing synergy with other activities carried out within the Santo André plant,” he stated.
Paulo Serra, the mayor of Santo André in the state of São Paulo, praised the job creation with the new investment from Prometeon. “An investment in the Santo André plant and the generation of more than 150 direct and indirect job vacancies for our people. Cutting-edge technology and innovation that ensure our city’s socioeconomic prominence to attract more investments,” he asserted.

More Details on Prometeon’s New Undertaking in São Paulo
The new logistics distribution center in Santo André from Prometeon will have LED lighting, four loading dock platforms, a logistics security system with hydrants, extinguishers, safety signage, and escape routes, complying with all appropriate regulations, aiming to operate more sustainably and efficiently. In the warehouse operation, employees will have electric forklifts available for use, avoiding the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere, and autonomous vehicles, also electric, for transporting products.
“The construction of this new logistics distribution center in Santo André comes at a good time for Prometeon. We have been working for a long time on ways to improve the operation of our structure in Brazil, aiming to serve our customers more efficiently, with less bureaucracy and wasted time in the processes. According to the CEO, the new logistics center will provide a more efficient warehousing and distribution operation with reduced costs for the manufacturer.

Prometeon (formerly Pirelli Industrial), one of the leading manufacturers of tires for trucks, buses, agro, and OTR Brazil, announced last Monday (08/23) that it would invest R$ 5.2 million in creating a new indoor laboratory at its factory in Santo André, in the state of São Paulo, with an area of 700 square meters. With this investment, more jobs will be generated in the city.
Officially called Test Center Latam, the future facility at the São Paulo factory will be responsible for testing all the tires manufactured by the company in the country and will be submitted for accreditation by Inmetro to ensure that the evaluated products can receive the certifications stipulated by the agency.
“The new Test Center Latam, a structure we are developing at the Santo André factory, will be very important for us to operate in an even more agile and integrated manner with all our areas,” explains Luiz Mari, director of research and development of Prometeon for the Americas. “By making the process more efficient, we will save time and be able to develop better products more quickly. Therefore, it is a significant step for the company’s evolution and our range of products, always aiming for the best for our customers.”
