Another Important Step for the Construction of the Tonelero of PROSUB Will Be Taken by Itaguaí Construções Navais (ICN). The Company Is Organizing for the Transfer of Section 2A of the Submarine from the Factory to the Shipyard.
On the last October 16, following the naval construction schedule of the PROSUB submarines, ICN transferred Section S2A of the Tonelero submarine from UFEM to the shipyard. PROSUB continues to advance, and soon we will have the first submarine, the Riachuelo, being delivered to the operational sector.

Progress of Section 2A of the Prosub Tonelero
During the journey, all accesses to Ilha da Madeira will be closed under the supervision of agents from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), and Military Police (PM), who will release the roads as soon as the section completes its brief journey.
This was yet another important operational advance in the constructive scale of the PROSUB vessel. It also indicates the maturity in the technology transfer absorbed by ICN, as its construction is carried out 100% with Brazilian labor, confirming the autonomy of the Brazilian Navy in the manufacturing of Riachuelo Class submarines, increasingly proving the efficiency of Brazilian naval construction.

Other Submarines in Partnership Between ICN and PROSUB
ICN has been making significant strides in the naval construction of submarines for the Brazilian Navy. Recently, the loading of 360 battery elements on the S41 Humaitá submarine was completed.
In a delicate and complex operation, the team from the Shipbuilding Yard (ESC) completed the mission, which required great focus and commitment in the activation and handling of the elements.
The first step was energizing the batteries in the activation workshops. Then, the elements were transported to the ESC, where they were hoisted by a crane into the vessel. Finally, the electrical team is tasked with connecting the busbars to the battery elements to allow for charging on board.
