Capacity expected to reach 3.5 million tons
When it becomes operational, the unit will have the capacity to produce approximately 3.5 million tons of pulp per year. This forecast positions the project as the world’s largest single-line factory.
The schedule maintains the expectation of operations starting between late 2027 and 2028. Until then, the implementation will continue to focus on equipment, industrial systems, and structures necessary to support large-scale production.
The project also foresees energy self-sufficiency, with generation exceeding 400 megawatts. This point is part of the planned structure for the unit’s future operation and reinforces the industrial scale of the undertaking.
Permanent jobs and infrastructure
In addition to temporary positions during construction, the factory is expected to maintain approximately 6,000 permanent jobs after completion. These vacancies will be distributed across industrial, forestry, and logistics areas.
The investment also drives new businesses and pressures for logistical improvements. Road accesses and transmission lines are part of the package linked to the project, which advances amidst the expectation of a lasting impact on the region.
