IFSP Offers Nine Free and Fully Online Courses, with Limited Spots Starting in August 2025, in Areas Such as Education, Customer Service, Music, Languages, and Sciences. Registration is Now Open and Runs Until August 10.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), São José do Rio Preto campus, is open for registration for nine free extension courses that are completely online.
The spots are intended for different profiles of students and professionals, covering areas such as education, customer service, music, languages, and exact sciences.
Registrations started on July 15, 2025, and run until August 10, 2025, exclusively online, according to Notice No. 35/2025.

Course load of 45 hours, with 50 spots. Classes occur on Tuesdays from 6 PM to 10 PM, starting August 19, 2025.
- Playfulness: the Language of Childhood
Intended for professionals and students in early childhood education.
There are 50 spots and 45 hours of course content, with meetings on Thursdays from 6 PM to 10 PM, starting August 21, 2025.
- Alphaliteracy and Working with Literacy: A Possibility for Inclusion
Covers inclusive practices in literacy. Offers 50 spots, 45 hours of course load, and classes on Fridays from 6 PM to 10 PM, starting August 22, 2025.
- Scientific Methodology and Artificial Intelligence in Research Project Development
Open to those with complete elementary education. There are 60 spots for a 48-hour course, with meetings on Wednesdays from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, starting August 20, 2025.
- Excellence in Customer Service
With a duration of 20 hours and 60 spots, it is open to the general public.
Expected start on August 12, 2025.
- Playful Practices in Sciences for Elementary Education (Initial Years)
Recommended for teachers of Elementary I and early years of Elementary II. Offers 40 spots, 80 hours of course load, and classes on Wednesdays from 7 PM to 9 PM, starting August 20, 2025.
- Music in History: The Past Through Music
Open to the public, with 50 spots and 60 hours of course load. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 7 PM to 9 PM, starting August 19, 2025.
- Basic English
With 60 spots and 40 hours of course load, it is intended for beginners in the language. Classes on Thursdays from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, starting August 21, 2025.
- Basic Mathematics
Requires complete elementary education. There are 20 spots for a 40-hour course, with meetings on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 PM to 7 PM, starting August 20, 2025.
Inclusion and Spot Criteria
The IFSP selection process was structured to increase the participation of different social groups.
Of the total spots, 70% are for general competition, 25% for PPIQ candidates (black, brown, indigenous, and quilombola) and 5% for people with disabilities.
If the reserved spots are not filled, they will automatically be transferred to the general competition.
The preliminary list of selected candidates will be published on August 1, 2025, and the final list, after resource analysis, on August 3, 2025.
