The Oil Company Enauta Reported Production of 8.6 Thousand Barrels of Oil Per Day in July, with a Decrease of 52% Compared to the Previous Month Due to Maintenance at the Atlanta Field

Enauta’s production in July totaled 8.6 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, according to a new report released this week on the 22nd by the oil company. The figure presented in the document is 52% lower compared to the numbers from the previous month, when 18.1 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day were recorded. The company’s production result for the month of June was boosted by the scheduled shutdown of the Atlanta field, the company’s main asset.

“The Atlanta field underwent a scheduled shutdown to meet the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Labor, as well as to prepare the FPSO for recertification by DNV (Det Norske Veritas). If recertification is obtained, it will be possible to extend the contract and continue production operations at the Atlanta Field until the Definitive Production System is implemented, expected in mid-2024,” Enauta said.

The production of oil at the Atlanta field was reactivated on August 17, through the FPSO Petrojarl I. According to Enauta, the current production from the Atlanta field is around 13 thousand barrels of oil per day, in the stabilization process.

Enauta’s Profit Decreased by 55.9% in the Second Quarter of the Year

Enauta reported a net profit of R$ 280.6 million in the second quarter of 2022, a decrease of 55.9% compared to the same period in 2021.

However, the result shows recovery compared to the previous quarter, when the company recorded a loss of R$ 98.2 million. Enauta’s net revenue reached R$ 721.8 million between April and June, representing a growth of 106.6% compared to the same period in 2021.

The result was driven by the operation cash production due to the appreciation of oil and its derivatives in the external market during the quarter. Enauta’s production at the Atlanta field in the Santos Basin grew 56.5% in the second quarter compared to the same period in 2021.

Still This Year, Enauta Denied the Sale of the Atlanta Field and Seeks to Diversify Its Portfolio of Assets in the Oil and Natural Gas Sector

On 08/12, Enauta’s CEO, Décio Oddone, spoke about the company’s future in the oil and natural gas sector and stated that the company is now investing in acquiring new assets, mergers, and developing new projects to expand its market portfolio. Furthermore, he emphasized that rumors about the sale of the Atlanta Field in the Santos Basin are false and that this project does not exist.

A videoconference with analysts and investors from Enauta was held at the end of last week, initiating a discussion about the company’s future in the Brazilian oil and natural gas market with the company’s president.

Thus, the executive highlighted that the company’s main plan in the oil and gas sector currently is to expand assets and make the business portfolio even more diversified, aiming to increase its presence in the Brazilian market.

Therefore, the initiative to expand the company’s business portfolio will be conducted based on mergers in the oil and natural gas segment, acquiring new assets, and investing in projects that allow for business growth.
