UNEB Opens Selection Process for 102 Substitute Professor Positions with Salaries up to R$ 4,044.82.
The State University of Bahia (UNEB) announced the opening of a new selection process, with the publication of Notice 105/2024. A total of 102 positions will be filled for Substitute Professors, with opportunities in various fields of knowledge. Applications will close on October 3rd. The goal of this selection is to meet the demand of different Departments of the University, spread across several campuses.

The positions offered in the selection process are aimed at professionals with a degree and, necessarily, with a postgraduate degree in the area of expertise.
The remuneration varies according to the workload, with the base salary for 20 hours per week being R$ 2,022.41, while for a workload of 40 hours per week the amount reaches R$ 4,044.82.

In addition to the salary, the selected professors will be entitled to a Functional Incentive, according to their academic qualifications.
The percentage varies from 20% over the base salary for those with a Specialization, 40% for those with a Master’s degree, and 60% for those with a Doctorate.

Stages of the UNEB Selection Process
The selection process for filling the 102 positions for Professor will be divided into three main stages.
The first is the Interview, during which the candidate’s professional experience will be assessed, as well as their demeanor, confidence, commitment, and ability to articulate ideas.
This phase aims to identify the candidate’s level of knowledge and specific skills, essential for the position of Substitute Professor.
The second stage will be the Public Class, where the candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their didactic and pedagogical knowledge, as well as their ability to convey content in their chosen area of expertise.
This phase is crucial to verify candidates’ performance in the classroom, ensuring they possess the necessary competencies to teach with quality.
Finally, the third and last stage will be the Evaluation of Titles, which will consist of evaluating the academic certificates presented by the candidate, as well as their scientific or technical output and professional experience.
This phase considers the academic background and the candidate’s contributions to their field of knowledge.
The sum of the scores obtained in each of these stages will determine the candidate’s final ranking. UNEB will publish the list of approved candidates on its official website after the results are confirmed.
Validity and Duration of the Contract
For these positions, the contracts of approved Substitute Professors will also have an initial duration of two years, with the possibility of renewal.
The hiring regime will follow the standards established by UNEB and the public servants’ statute of the State of Bahia.
