The Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) is accepting applications for an exclusive exchange program in Portugal, aimed at students from integrated high school technical courses.
According to the information, a total of 11 students will be selected. They will have the opportunity to experience a unique international program, with applications exclusively submitted online from June 14 to July 7 – the final results will be announced on July 31.
The exchange is part of the International Student Mobility Program of the IFSP and aims to promote the academic and personal enrichment of students. To apply, students must be at least in their second year of the integrated technical course and have a minimum Academic Performance Index of 7.0 at the time of application.
Exchange in Portugal
The 11 selected students will spend seven days in the city of Porto, Portugal, during October 2024. During this period, students will participate in various activities at partner institutions of the IFSP, including visits and educational events.

According to the Federal Institute, the goal of the program is to provide students with a deeper contact with different sociocultural and economic realities, as well as to develop professional skills in an international environment. The exchange also seeks to promote the intellectual autonomy and critical thinking of participants.
Distribution of Spots
These spots are distributed in a way that includes students from five different regions of the Federal Institute, selecting two students per region, one female and one male.
According to the announcement, the IFSP will respect the gender identity declared by the candidate at the time of application, as well as the social name, when applicable.
The Trip and Costs
The trip to Portugal is scheduled for October 2024. Throughout the stay, students will be accompanied by IFSP staff, ensuring safety and necessary support.
Everyone will travel together on the same flight and will be accommodated in the same hotel or lodging, in shared rooms between two or three students of the same gender.
The exchange covers airfare, accommodation, travel insurance, meals, passport issuance, and internal transportation. However, other personal expenses will be the responsibility of the students.
