With an Investment of R$ 1 Billion, Unit Inaugurated in Carambeí Produces up to 600 Million Bottles Per Year, Integrates All Stages of the Brewery Chain in Paraná and Supplies Ambev Factories in Nine States
Ambev inaugurated a new glass bottle factory in Carambeí, in the interior of Paraná, on Monday, the 15th, with an investment of R$ 1 billion, an annual capacity of 600 million units, and a direct impact on logistics, national production, and the premium portfolio.
The unit was designed to supply Ambev breweries in Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Ceará, and in Paraná itself, enhancing industrial integration and reducing delivery times.
The investment makes Paraná the only state where Ambev will concentrate all production stages, from barley cultivation to final packaging, a model the company defines as production “from grain to glass.”

Petrobras sends a message to Brazilian truck drivers after fuel collapse and reveals plan to have 100% domestic diesel.
According to the company, the logistical integration should optimize operational costs and accelerate packaging supply, a factor considered strategic given the increase in demand for higher-value beers in the Brazilian market.
In the third quarter of 2025, Ambev regained the leadership in the premium beer segment after a decade, driven by a cumulative growth of 200% in sales volume of this portfolio since 2019.
Production Capacity and Models Served
The Carambeí factory will be able to produce bottles in long-neck and 600 ml formats, with initial production focused on green packaging, already used by strategic brands of the group in the country.
The plant is also prepared to manufacture, in the future, clear and amber bottles, expanding service to labels such as Stella Artois, Stella Artois Pure Gold gluten-free, Spaten, Corona, and Original.
This is the first glass bottle factory of Ambev in Paraná and, according to the company, a central piece to support the growth of the premium and zero-alcohol beer segments, which are the fastest growing in Brazil.
With the new unit, the Carambeí region will bring together the entire brewery chain, including malting, can manufacturing, brewing, distribution centers, and now glass production, consolidating a complete industrial hub.
Investments and National Impact
“Paraná is a strategic and very important state for Ambev. Now, the bottles made here in Paraná will also reach other states and supply our factories across Brazil,” says Ambev’s CEO, Carlos Lisboa.
The project is part of the R$ 2.5 billion invested by the company in Paraná in recent years, within a total of over R$ 10 billion invested in Brazil over the last three years in beers, soft drinks, and packaging.
The factory will be the first of Ambev to operate fully with renewable electrical energy, featuring high-efficiency furnaces and preparation for the use of biofuels, reducing the environmental footprint of the operation.
The bottles produced will contain at least 20% recycled glass, potentially reaching 80%, an initiative aligned with the Paraná Waste Plan and which enhances the recycling of materials in the supply chain, despite initial logistical challenges and operational adjustments.
