Brazilian Production Reaches New Record in Pre-Salt Participation in September
Even with a 1.4% decrease in oil production, the pre-salt was the positive highlight in September, leaving behind good marks. The wells in the region produced a total of 1.783 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, representing a growth of 3.7% compared to August. It reached 55.8% participation in total Brazilian production in the pre-salt, marking the highest index recorded to date.
The forecast is that pre-salt production will gain a larger share with the operation of new platforms, which are expected to come online later this year in 2018. Recently, Petrobras announced the start of operations of the FPSO P-69, in the Lula Extremo Sul area of the Santos Basin. Currently, the expectation revolves around the start of operations of the P-67, P-75, and P-76 platforms, which are expected to begin production still in 2018.

The Brazilian Air Force now has a colossal helicopter: the H125 from the TH-X project arrives with multi-mission technology, capacity for up to 6 occupants, high efficiency in military training and operation in extreme environments, strengthening the training of pilots for the FAB and the Brazilian Navy.
The P-69 platform was the eighth unit installed in the Lula field in the pre-salt, which is currently the largest producing field in Brazil, with an enviable average of 851,000 barrels/day of oil and 35.5 million cubic meters of natural gas, based on data from September. Offshore fields accounted for 95.7% of total oil production and 76.5% of natural gas production. The P-67 platform will be the ninth platform to be installed in the field, and the P-75 and P-76 units will be in Búzios, also in the Santos Basin.
