Imagine the resurgence of a forgotten legend. No, we are not talking about a film, but an audacious movement that promises to shake up the market for machines in the construction, logistics and infrastructure sectors in Brazil.

In a scenario where innovation and tradition meet, Michigan, a brand that has shaped the global construction and infrastructure sector for decades, makes its triumphant return to the country.

Second information from the Compre Rural website, the Osvaldo Zilli Group, a holding company with a strong presence in all Brazilian states, is responsible for bringing back to Brazil the famous Michigan brand, known for its robust wheel loaders.

Founded in 1903 in Chicago, United States, Michigan has stood out over the years for developing resistant and efficient machines, widely used in the construction, logistics and infrastructure sectors.

However, the relaunch of Michigan in Brazil is not just a nostalgic movement. As reported by Compre Rural, the Osvaldo Zilli Group's strategic decision seeks to meet a growing demand for machines that offer mechanical simplicity and cost-benefit.

“Michigan offers savings and ease of operations, with engines that already have spare parts available in Brazil”, highlighted Osvaldo Zilli, group leader.

A diversified portfolio and a promising future

The Osvaldo Zilli Group is no newcomer when it comes to leading varied markets. In addition to the relaunched Michigan, the holding also controls companies such as Transzilli Expresso e Logística, which has more than 34 years of experience, and Zilli Pneus Michelin, which since 2013 has specialized in the sale of premium tires.

The recent expansion included Vimazi, a company that, since 2023, imports and distributes exclusivity in Brazil for both the Michigan yellow line and Apollo tires.

The diversification doesn't stop there. According to the Compre Rural website, the group has invested heavily in a range of products that go beyond loaders. The bet includes hydraulic excavators, motor graders, bulldozers, compactors and forklifts.

And the expectation is that new models of Michigan machines will reach the Brazilian market by 2025, further expanding the options available for the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Winning strategy: quality, after-sales and availability

What makes Michigan so special in the Brazilian competitive scene? According to Osvaldo Zilli, in an interview on the aforementioned website, the secret lies in the combination of high quality products, efficient after-sales service and the wide availability of parts.

“Our objective is to offer customers machines that combine simplicity, low maintenance costs and robustness, all with a high level of service,” he stated.

Michigan's operations in Brazil are already at full steam, especially in the Central-West, North and part of the Northeast regions. Group companies, such as Comazi and Vimazi, have been fundamental in consolidating the brand in the national market.

Comazi, for example, has a large showroom and a complete workshop structure, parts and technical assistance in Aparecida de Goiânia, on BR-153, exit to São Paulo, becoming an important reference for Brazilian rural producers.

International partnership and a bright future for Michigan

It is worth remembering that Michigan Group established an exclusive partnership in 2013 with Michigan Group Inc. for the production, marketing and distribution of its equipment throughout Latin America.

Now, with the strength and expertise of the Osvaldo Zilli Group, the brand promises not only to revive its legacy, but also to innovate and adapt to the modern demands of the Brazilian construction and infrastructure sector.

With so many promising elements at play, the question remains: will Michigan be able to maintain its reputation for robustness and efficiency while adapting to the needs of the constantly evolving Brazilian market?
