Automatic Transmission: Technology And Comfort
One of the major innovations of the R 1300 GS Adventure is the “Automated Shift Assistant” (ASA), a system that automates the clutch using two electromechanical actuators. This means there’s no need to use the clutch lever to shift gears. For those who prefer a more traditional control, the shift pedal is retained and can be used in M mode, functioning as a quickshifter. In D mode, gear changes are completely automatic. This technology will also be available as an option for the R 1300 GS in 2025.
