· Degree in Mining, Metallurgical, Production, or Chemical Engineering;

· Desirable Master’s degree in a related field;

· Experience in the processes of ore filtration and wastewater treatment; and

· Fluent English is desirable.

Career for Geologists

For geologists, Samarco offers a unique opportunity to work in mine planning management, focusing on material classification and mining optimization. Professionals will be responsible for ensuring the least possible dilution between ore and waste and for detailing ore advances to reduce variability.

Requirements:

. Complete higher education in Geology or Geological Engineering;

· Experience in Mine Geology and quality monitoring;

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Office suite;

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of software used in mine planning routine: Deswik (preferred), Minesight, Datamine, Surpac, Vulcan, GEMS or similar;

· Intermediate to advanced English; and

· Valid driver’s license type B.
