For those already running One UI 7, the good news is that most compatible devices should be updated by 2025.

Which Samsung Phones Should Receive One UI 8 With Android 16?

Samsung has not yet publicly announced the definitive list of phones that will receive One UI 8 with Android 16, but based on its update policies — generally 3 to 4 years of Android for mid-range lines and up to 7 years for recent flagships — it is possible to predict the eligible models with a high degree of accuracy.

When Will One UI 8 Be Released?

The stable version of One UI 8 is expected to start rolling out in the last quarter of 2025, initially for the Galaxy S24 series models. Following that, the update will be distributed to the most recent foldable and mid-range models, with most of the timeline extending into mid to late 2025.

As usual, Samsung is expected to prioritize Asian and European countries in the first weeks, and only then release the update for units sold in Brazil. Still, the pace of updates is likely to be faster than in previous years, especially after Samsung’s investments in software.
