How Does Pix with Santander Card Work?
The operation can be performed directly through the Santander app.
The customer must enter the recipient’s key and select the payment via credit card, defining the number of installments or even delaying the start of payment for up to three statements.
The transferred amount will be automatically added to the credit card bill, ensuring convenience and security.
Additionally, each operation generates a digital receipt, facilitating financial control.
The transaction will incur IOF and interest charges starting at 1.59% per month, but the bank believes that convenience and flexibility will compensate for the cost.
Santander’s Strategy with the New Service
According to Gustavo Santos, director of Cards at Santander, “this feature strengthens the card as a hub of financial solutions, and not just as a means of payment for purchases.”
The Payments director, Izabella Belisário, adds that this innovation combines two already established strengths: the speed of Pix and the flexibility of credit, strengthening the relationship with digital customers.
The bank expects that the launch will increase transaction volume and enhance its relevance in the payments market, establishing itself as a reference in innovation.
Benefits for Customers and Market Impact
The integration between Pix and credit card especially offers advantages for customers who need immediate liquidity without sacrificing payment flexibility.
Installments of up to 12 times increase access to short-term credit, making the service attractive for those seeking convenience and financial planning.
In a competitive landscape, banks such as Banco do Brasil and Bradesco already have similar solutions, but Santander bets on digital experience and usability as differentiators.
Experts state that the initiative can attract new customers and retain existing users, standing out in an increasingly digital and competitive market.
Installments, Security, and Convenience
Pix with Santander card allows the customer to choose how to pay for the transaction, tracking all stages through the app.
The combination of credit card and Pix creates an innovative resource capable of meeting the needs of modern consumers without compromising the security of transactions.
With this strategy, Santander seeks to consolidate the card as a comprehensive financial management tool, transforming payments and transfers into integrated and digital solutions.
