Renovated City already appears in Thailand with RS look, more complete technology package, and hybrid e:HEV engine, while the future Brazilian line remains surrounded by expectations in the second semester, with its own changes and focus on the compact sedan segment.
Honda is already showcasing the renovated City in Thailand with the RS package, sportier look, and new convenience equipment, while the arrival of the 2027 line in Brazil is still scheduled for the second semester, with no official date confirmation from the brand yet.
The Asian sedan anticipates some of the changes expected for the City family, but the Brazilian restyling is expected to have its own design solutions and maintain the current flex engine, according to information published by the specialized press in Brazil.
City RS 2027 gets redesigned front and sporty look
The update presented in the Thai market reinforces the visual appeal of the City RS with a redesigned front, wider grille, sportier-looking bumper, and light signature connecting the headlights.

The set follows Honda’s recent strategy to give the sedan a more striking presence, without altering the compact model’s proposal aimed at urban and family use.
At the rear, the City RS retains LED taillights but now adopts clear lenses over a darkened background, a feature that brings the sedan closer to versions with sportier finishes.
The bumper also received a more pronounced visual diffuser, although the exhaust remains hidden under the piece, a common solution in models that prioritize aesthetics without radical mechanical changes.
The RS finish preserves elements already associated with Honda’s top versions in Asian markets, such as darkened details, specific badges, and exclusive color combinations.

Among the shades released by Honda in Thailand is the Blazing Red Pearl, the name used by the manufacturer for the pearlescent red displayed on the model’s official page.
Hybrid Honda City has a 10-inch screen and 360° camera
The cabin of the revamped City received a 10-inch multimedia center, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly, according to Honda Thailand’s official page.
The model also offers an induction charger, electrochromic internal mirror, ambient lighting, and a multi-view camera system, a feature equivalent to the 360° camera mentioned for the more equipped versions.
The adoption of these items brings the City closer to more expensive rivals and helps reposition the sedan in a segment pressured by the rise of compact SUVs.
Even so, the list of equipment may vary depending on the country, as Honda tends to adapt packages, versions, and nomenclatures according to local demand and the industrial structure of each market.
In Thailand, the range displayed by the brand consists of the S, e:HEV V, e:HEV SV, and e:HEV RS versions.
The official page also highlights the Honda Sensing package, with features such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and automatic high beam switching.
e:HEV system reinforces focus on efficiency in the Asian market
The main technical difference is in the offer of hybrid powertrain.
In the Thai lineup, the e:HEV V, e:HEV SV, and e:HEV RS versions use Honda’s hybrid system, while the S version remains as a non-electrified alternative within the City family.
The international specialized press reports that the hybrid set maintains a 1.5 Atkinson cycle combustion engine and a front electric motor, with operation focused on efficiency.

In the e:HEV system used in Asian markets, the electric motor is primarily responsible for moving the vehicle in most situations, while the gasoline engine acts as a generator and can drive directly under certain conditions.
This architecture allows for smoother operation in urban use, although final numbers may vary depending on approval and market.
The combined power reference of up to 126 hp appears associated with the hybrid set already known from the City in other countries, but the open page of Honda Thailand consulted does not show all complete technical data.
Therefore, the information should be treated as a reference for international configuration, not as a confirmed specification for Brazil.
Honda City 2027 in Brazil expected to retain 1.5 flex engine
For the Brazilian market, the expectation is different.
Reports from Quatro Rodas indicate that the City 2027 is expected to arrive in the second half with an exclusive look for the country, retaining the naturally aspirated 1.5 flex engine with direct injection, producing 126 hp at 6,200 rpm and a CVT automatic transmission with seven-speed simulation.
The same investigation indicates torque of 15.8 kgfm with ethanol and 15.5 kgfm with gasoline, both at 4,600 rpm.
This configuration is already known in the City sold in Brazil and tends to continue as the main solution, with no secure forecast of a hybrid version of the national sedan at the launch of the facelift.
Auto Segredos also reported that the Brazilian facelift is expected to follow its own path, different from the look sold in Asia.
According to the publication, sightings made in the country indicate specific changes for the national market, which reduces the chance of the Brazilian City fully copying the design of the Thai model.

Converted price of Honda City RS approaches R$ 129 thousand
The range equivalent to about R$ 129 thousand appears as an approximate conversion for the most expensive version of the City in Asian markets, but the value does not represent the official Brazilian price.
As taxes, exchange rates, equipment content, and commercial strategy vary from country to country, the comparison serves only as an international reference to gauge the positioning of the sedan.
In Brazil, the price of the 2027 line has not yet been disclosed by Honda.
The definition should consider the current City, the competition with remaining compact sedans, and the approach of more expensive versions with compact SUVs, a range in which the brand itself operates with models like WR-V and HR-V.
The debut in August, associated with the Interlagos Festival, appears as a market expectation, but has not been confirmed in the official materials consulted.
The most secure prediction so far is the launch in the second half of 2026, with deeper visual changes, maintenance of the flex mechanics, and possible reinforcement in the equipment package of the sedan and hatch.
