The National Service for Industrial Learning of Espírito Santo (SENAI–ES) is offering around 4,000 spots in free professional qualification courses. There are dozens of courses at SENAI distributed across eight cities in the state. The free courses can be taken either in-person or online at various locations. These EaD courses are a unique opportunity for those looking to boost their resumes.
Main Free Qualification Courses
The EaD professional qualification courses are aimed at those looking to quickly enter a new profession or even certify themselves in the profession they already practice.
The free courses are distributed across the units in Aracruz, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Colatina, Linhares, São Mateus, Serra, Vitória, and Vila Velha. Among the courses at SENAI are:

Production Controller and Programmer

Motorcycle Mechanic
This course aims to provide the development of technical, social, methodological, and organizational skills related to professional qualification as a Motorcycle Mechanic. The requirements include completed lower secondary education and being at least 16 years old.
Computer Operator
This course aims to provide the development of technical, social, methodological, and organizational skills related to professional qualification as a Computer Operator. It only requires completed lower secondary education and being at least 16 years old. This course is 100% in-person, thus, it is offered only to residents of the state of Espírito Santo.
Industrial Clothing Sewing Machine Operator – Knit Fabric
This course aims to develop technical, methodological, social, and organizational skills related to professional qualification as an Industrial Clothing Sewing Machine Operator – Knit Fabric. It only requires a minimum age of 16 years and completed lower secondary education.
Logistics Assistant
This course aims to develop technical, social, methodological, and organizational skills related to professional qualification as a Logistics Assistant. It only requires completed lower secondary education and a minimum age of 16 years.
How to Enroll in the EaD Courses at Senai
Enrollment in the free professional qualification courses can be done through the Senai-ES website. The program focuses on low-income individuals. The low-income status of the candidate enrolled in the free courses will be verified through self-declaration at the time of registration.
Students can choose from courses at SENAI in various fields, including logistics assistant, hydraulic installer, and much more. The start date for classes varies depending on the unit and the chosen EaD courses.
The course workload for free professional qualification courses ranges between 8h and 240h, depending on the desired qualification. It is worth mentioning that some free courses start as early as February. Interested individuals can find out the start date of the course at the time of registration.
How the Spots in Courses at Senai Are Distributed
According to Senai, enrollment in the EaD courses can be done up to four days before the start of classes. Participants should stay alert, as there is no fixed end date for enrollment; it occurs year-round, depending on the desired course. The spots in the free qualification courses are distributed across the following units:
- Colatina – 558;
- São Mateus – 600;
- Aracruz – 570 spots;
- Linhares – 550;
- Vila Velha – 590;
- Serra – 765;
- Vitória – 270;
- Cachoeiro – 550.
The course may be postponed or canceled if the minimum number of students for starting classes is not reached; in this case, the educational unit will contact to provide further details.
