O National Service of Industrial Apprenticeship (Senai) of the Federal District announced the opening of registrations for several free professional and technical qualification courses for the third quarter of 2024. In total, according to the entity, there are four thousand vacancies.

Of these opportunities, 3.805 are for face-to-face and distance learning professional qualification courses. The remainder, 195, are vacancies for face-to-face and blended technical courses.

According to Senai, registration requirements vary according to the notice. For technical courses, for example, you must be at least 16 years old and have completed high school or be studying from the second grade onwards.

Classes will be held at Senai units in the Federal District located in Gama, Setor de Indústrias Gráficas (SIG), Sobradinho and Taguatinga, in the morning, afternoon and night shifts.

What courses are offered

In total, there are 39 free course options. Among them, the following stand out:

  • Ceramic tile installer;
  • Electronic Maintenance Assistant;
  • Seamstress;
  • Industrial electrician;
  • Mechanic;
  • Baker;
  • Real Estate Painter.

Each candidate may enroll in up to two courses, as long as they are in different shifts so that there is no conflict in schedules.

Difference between qualification and technical courses

As mentioned, there are vacancies for qualification and technical courses. For those who don't know, the difference between them is the fact that the first has a short duration, ranging from 160 to 366 hours, and aims to insert or replace the student in the job market – at the end, the student receives a certificate.

On the other hand, technical courses have a workload of up to 1.200 hours, lasting from one to one and a half years, and train professionals with specific theoretical and practical knowledge. Here, unlike qualification courses, the successful student receives a diploma.

How to Apply

Anyone interested in registering or finding out more about the courses offered can click here for that. According to Senai, Registration can be made until September 1st or until vacancies are filled, which will occur in order of registration.

The enrollment process

Selected candidates will be contacted by email or telephone and will have up to two working days to confirm their enrollment at the unit where the course will be held, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 20:30 pm, excluding holidays.
To register, you must present an original and a copy of the following documents: ID, CPF, proof of education and proof of residence. For underage students, the ID and CPF of the legal guardian are also required.

Take advantage of this opportunity and sign up for the free courses offered by Senai to qualify and improve your chances in the job market.
