The Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) has reopened registrations for its high school program in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) mode with professional qualification in cultural production.
Good news for young people and adults. Sesc announced the reopening of open registrations for a free high school course with professional qualification in cultural production.
In total, there are more than 600 remaining places for the course EJA high school integrated with professional training for cultural producers in the distance education modality (EaS) through the Sesc social commitment and gratuity program (PCG).

The São Paulo government opens 1,700 spots in free courses in the capital and Greater São Paulo, with classes starting on April 27 and registrations available in person or online for areas with high demand in the job market.
According to Sesc, the program was created with the aim of providing opportunities for young people and adults to complete high school remotely while simultaneously obtaining a professional qualification in cultural production.
During the free course, which lasts 18 months and involves mandatory weekly in-person meetings at the support center, students will also have access to cultural, sports, and leisure activities offered by Sesc in the participating states.
As checked, these remaining places are for different states. In this sense, there are opportunities for people living in units of the federation such as Amazonas, Bahia, Pará, Paraíba, Piauí, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe, and Tocantins.
According to Sesc, as mentioned, the program may last up to 18 months, starting on March 11, 2024, encompassing virtual content and mandatory weekly in-person meetings at the local support center.
Furthermore, according to the institution, various technologies such as learning objects, video classes, quizzes, questionnaires, illustrations, “web conferences,” among others, will be used to mediate the virtual classes.
Who is the Sesc Course For
According to Sesc, the program in question is primarily intended for those who are workers in the commerce of goods, services, and tourism, as well as their dependents and students from the public basic education system.
All of these must prove low income with a monthly family gross income not exceeding three minimum wages. An important point is that candidates who study and work will be prioritized.
Who Can Register
To register, the candidate should preferably be a worker in the commerce of goods, services, and tourism or a dependent, or be a graduate of the public basic education system and meet requirements such as:
- Being at least 18 years old at the time of pre-registration;
- Completed primary education;
- And having low income.
Necessary Technological Materials
As the course is online, it is necessary for the candidate to have basic computer knowledge and access to a computer with internet, with the following minimum computer configuration.
Those who do not have a computer at home will be advised that the centers will provide computers for access to students who present difficulties or do not have access to this equipment.
However, it is important to alert that, according to the notice, it will be the student’s responsibility to verify at the center the availability and rules for the use of the computers available.
This information is crucial, as the content will be made available in a virtual learning environment (AVA), whose link, user, and password will be sent by Sesc, before the start of classes, through the email indicated by the candidate at the time of pre-registration.
How to Register
Registration for the Sesc EJA program must be done by March 1st. This registration should be done through this link, created for the remaining vacancies to be filled. See the schedule leading up to the start of classes:
- Pre-registration and document submission at the center from 02/19/2024 to 03/01/2024;
- Student experimentation from 03/04/2024 to 03/08/2024;
- Start of classes on 03/11/2024;

- Request for Credit Transfer Until 03/29/2024.
