Taller than the Statue of Liberty, thousands of wind turbines are being planted in the middle of U.S. fields, creating two-story farms where corn and soybeans grow below while the wind turns into electricity above.
The vessel with which Solstad signed the contract is a PSV (Platform Supply Vessel), built in 2013, and it will have a duration of two years of its activities, with the start of operations scheduled for the second quarter of 2019.
In the last quarter of last year, Solstad closed a portfolio of contracts in Brazil, and this agreement with Enauta (formerly QGEP) is also included, for the charter of the support vessel Normand Pioneer CSV in the Atlanta field, in the Santos Basin.
Furthermore, as the company’s activities are also concentrated in Brazil, they have vessels providing services to other companies, such as Equinor and Petrobrás, for example.
