Usiminas, a leader in the production and marketing of flat rolled steel, reported yesterday – November 5 – that the production and sales of rolled steel in October were higher than in March (pre-pandemic) and the total average of last year.

Production reached 370.5 thousand tons, 3.3% higher than March and 9.4% more than the average for 2019. Meanwhile, sales reached 366.3 thousand tons, 4.9% higher than the pre-pandemic period and 7.1% higher than the average in the previous year.
Sales for the domestic market represented 97% of the total, totaling 354.4 thousand tons, which is 17.8% higher than the first three months of the year and 15.6% higher than the average in 2019.
