How Does This New Siemens Energy Project Work?
The APM4O & G solution combines advanced asset performance software capabilities from Bentley (AssetWise) with Siemens Energy’s technology and service expertise to empower operators to improve maintenance and planning operations in the offshore oil and gas industry.
The solution, part of Siemens Energy’s Omnivise digital solutions portfolio, supports maintenance activities across various assets, including onshore compression stations and gas processing plants, as well as offshore production platforms and FPSO vessels.

Smart Strategies from Siemens for the Oil and Gas Industry
The APM4O & G solution adopts intelligent strategies based on predictive analytics to optimize maintenance schedules at compression stations and gas processing plants, helping to extend asset life and keep maintenance costs low.
Offshore, the solution helps operators reduce logistical costs associated with unplanned maintenance activities. Operators can also make better use of limited offshore storage and warehousing areas by maintaining only the right replacement stock based on risk-based maintenance strategies.
Asset Monitoring
In addition to monitoring assets, the APM4O&G solution can perform powerful diagnostics and risk analysis scenarios that further optimize plant uptime, including failure mode effect analysis, an operational integrity index of the equipment, and an estimated remaining useful life for an individual component or an entire system.
“APM for Oil and Gas is the latest example of how our strategic alliance with Bentley is delivering value to our customers,” said Laura Anderson, Head of Energy Services Control and Digitalization Business at Siemens.
