The Strategic Role of the “Guardians” in Missile Tracking
At Buckley Base, members of the Space Force — called guardians, not soldiers — operate in front of monitors displaying data from military satellites.
They detect launches through the thermal signature of missiles, quickly forwarding the information to defense units.
