Starlink Ready For Brazil?
Despite this news from Elon Musk not having officially arrived in Brazilian territory yet, the Starlink internet company is already preparing to enter the national market. The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has authorized two satellite antennas from the company, which will be installed at the provider’s ground stations, potentially arriving in the country in testing phases as early as the last semester of this year. Two versions of the Gateway V3 antenna were certified by Anatel, with the only difference being the frequency of their operations.

End of heavy manual drilling: three robots take over more than 9,000 holes in the Engelberg tunnel in Germany, working at a height of 7.5 meters and increasing precision in construction carried out with traffic in operation.
The equipment was classified by Anatel as a transceiver for ground stations. The certification issued by Anatel for the antenna shows that it operates in the Ku band and has a transmission capacity of up to 4 Gb/s.
Anatel’s certification regarding the equipment is just the first step for Elon Musk’s company to arrive in Brazil, however, it will still be necessary for Starlink to apply for Anatel certification for the antennas to be installed in customers’ homes.
Understand Better The Novelty From Entrepreneur Elon Musk
Approximately 1,600 satellites have been launched into space, and over 10,000 subscribers are part of the testing phase of Starkink and SpaceX in six countries. Pre-orders have already surpassed half a million requests in Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the United States, Mexico, and Australia.
In Brazil, although the beta will only arrive at the end of this semester, it is already possible to order the installation of Starlink with SpaceX. To register, a fee of US$ 99 will be required and the purchase of the router and antenna kit, priced at US$ 499. SpaceX mentioned that Starlink’s internet is expected to reach speeds of 50 Mb/s to 150 Mb/s, with ping times of 20 ms to a maximum of 40 ms.
