The equipment was classified by Anatel as a transceiver for ground stations. The certification issued by Anatel for the antenna shows that it operates in the Ku band and has a transmission capacity of up to 4 Gb/s.
Anatel’s certification regarding the equipment is just the first step for Elon Musk’s company to arrive in Brazil, however, it will still be necessary for Starlink to apply for Anatel certification for the antennas to be installed in customers’ homes.
