New car with 1.500 km of range could change everything in the global automotive industry. Toyota's 'super electric car' will hit the market in a few years, promising a revolution in the sector.

Toyota recently unveiled revolutionary technology for its electric car models, promising to transform the mobility industry. Amid the constant evolution of the world of electric mobility, the Japanese automaker announced an electric car with a range of 1.500 km on just one charge. This remarkable achievement has the potential to revolutionize the current conception of electric mobility and set new standards for the sector.

Toyota initiatives to innovate the electric car market

Toyota's strategy encompasses a range of electrified technologies ranging from pure electric vehicles to plug-in hybrid vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. As the automotive landscape undergoes an electrifying transformation, Toyota's recent technical presentation revealed its ambitious plan for the electrified future, offering a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come.

It's an electric model that cuts through the air with newly discovered technology, reducing drag and improving overall performance. In conjunction with this partnership, Toyota's next generation of electric car battery technology is the highlight.

The brand has plans to introduce its next electric cars from 2026, aiming for a car with 1.500 km of autonomy and setting new standards. With Toyota's 'super electric car', the objective is to serve a diverse audience, seeking extended reach and more affordable prices.

How will Toyota's 1.500 km car battery work?

To meet this diverse demand, Toyota plans to adopt a two-barrel battery strategy. In 2026 and 2027, two types of batteries will be launched: high performance and popular.

A high-performance battery with a lithium and manganese cobalt chemistry is destined to provide a notable 20% increase in autonomy of Toyota's 'electric super car', while reducing costs by 20%. On the other hand, Toyota's popular battery adopts lithium iron phosphate chemistry, not only extending driving range by 20%, but also drastically reducing costs by 40%.

This approach aims to democratize electric vehicles by making them not only more affordable, but accessible to a wider audience. However, Toyota's electrification narrative doesn't stop there. The highlight of the technical presentation was the reveal of its solid-state battery technology that promises to bring a car with 1.500 km of autonomy.

As solid state batteries are often considered the pinnacle of electric car battery technology, as they do not require a traditional liquid or gel electrolyte.

Toyota promises 50% more efficiency in its batteries

Toyota's bold statement comes with the promise of a projected 20% increase in range, a tempting proposition for those afflicted by fears of low range. With solid-state battery technology, which will be used in the new car with 1.500 km of range, the prospect of sustainable long-distance travel is no longer a distant dream, but a near reality.

However, Toyota does not intend to rest and the company is actively researching the development of a higher performance version of its solid-state batteries. This isn't a minor update, it's a huge leap forward.

If their research is successful, this high-performance battery could propel Toyota's 'Electric Super Car' to incredible heights, offering an astonishing 50% increase in range.

Toyota's vision isn't just about meeting the needs of today's drivers, it's about transforming the way we perceive electric vehicles in a world where environmental concerns are at the forefront of global discourse.
