Federal Institute Opens Positions for Distance Learning Tutors with a Scholarship of R$ 1,100. The Selected Candidates Will Work at UAB’s In-Person Centers, Contributing to the Training of Mathematics Teachers.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) has just extended the registration period for the selection process of in-person tutors for the Second Degree Licensure Course in Mathematics, under the University of Brazil (UAB).

With monthly scholarships of R$ 1,100, the program is an excellent opportunity for educators with teaching experience seeking flexibility and impact in the educational field.

What is the IFSP Selection Process?

The Notice No. 146/2024, published by the IFSP, regulates the filling of five immediate vacancies and the formation of a reserve list for in-person tutors who will work at UAB centers.

The program is aimed at the distance education modality, prioritizing the training of Mathematics teachers for basic education.

According to the IFSP, the available positions are for professionals already working in public education or affiliated with teacher training programs.

With registrations extended until December 5, 2024, there is more time for interested candidates to gather the required documents and confirm their participation.

Who Can Apply?

To participate, candidates must meet specific requirements, all detailed in the official notice.
The main criteria include:

  • Minimum of one year teaching experience, whether in basic or higher education.
  • Active involvement in public teaching or participation in teacher training programs, as established by Law No. 11,273/2006.

In addition, candidates must provide a series of supporting documents, such as an updated Lattes Curriculum, degrees in Mathematics, graduate certificates, proof of experience, and others.

Where Are the Vacancies?

The immediate vacancies are distributed across six in-person centers in the state of São Paulo.
Check the list of locations:

  • São João da Boa Vista – SP (Vila Conrado): 1 vacancy
  • Matão – SP (Jardim São José): 1 vacancy
  • Peruíbe – SP (Centro): 1 vacancy
  • Diadema – SP (Centro): 1 vacancy
  • Bragança Paulista – SP (Jardim São Lourenço): 1 vacancy
  • Jaú – SP (Centro): 1 vacancy

The approved candidates will work at these centers, assisting in the training of teachers in the distance education modality.

How Much Will Be Paid?

The selected tutors will receive a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,100, as established by CAPES Ordinance No. 33, dated February 16, 2023.

Payments are made directly by CAPES and not by IFSP, so any delays in transfers are not the responsibility of the institute.

This remuneration is proportional to the reduced workload of four hours a day, making the position attractive for those looking to balance work and other commitments.

How Will the Selection Be Made?

The selection process consists of an analysis of titles and professional experience, with a maximum score of 100 points.
The evaluation criteria include:

  • Academic background, such as degrees and postgraduate studies.
  • Experience in teaching and engagement in programs like UAB and e-Tec Brazil.
  • Additional qualifications, which also serve as tie-breaking criteria.

More experienced candidates with higher academic qualifications will have priority in the final ranking.

Registration Deadline at IFSP

With the new extended deadline, interested candidates can register until December 5, 2024.
Registrations must be made exclusively on the official IFSP website: https://concursopublico.ifsp.edu.br.

Questions and further information can be sent to the email uab@ifsp.edu.br.

Why is This Opportunity Unique?

This selection process represents more than just a job vacancy.

It is an opportunity to contribute directly to the training of new teachers, positively impacting basic education in Brazil.

Additionally, the reduced workload, the format of distance education, and the flexibility make this proposal ideal for those wishing to balance professional and personal life.

With the extension of registrations, there is no excuse to let this chance pass by.

Will you take this opportunity to earn R$ 1,100 working just 4 hours a day?
