Seeking Greater Sustainability in Its Operations, TranspoTech, After Acquiring More Than 400 Electric Equipment, Has Now Invested R$ 2 Million in the Purchase of Cars and a 100% Electric Truck

TranspoTech, founded in Santa Catarina and specializing in equipment solutions for material handling, has made an investment of R$ 2 million to utilize electric cars in part of its fleet. In addition to 10 electric cars for team transportation, the investment also includes an electric truck with a load capacity of 1.6 tons for its headquarters in the city of Blumenau (SC). The vehicles are expected to arrive at the beginning of next year, and they will begin operations in the first quarter.

TranspoTech Purchases More Than 400 Electric Equipment

TranspoTech, in addition to electric cars, already boasts more than 80% of its forklift fleet allocated to clients in the electric model. Just this year, the company invested in more than 400 electric and 100% sustainable equipment from the brand Still, the sector leader in the country.

The electric cars have a range of 300 km and will be recharged within TranspoTech itself, which has photovoltaic solar power plants in Blumenau (SC), Nova Santa Rita (RS), and Curitiba (PR).

Together, the plants reduce emissions by 79 tons of carbon per year, which offsets, for example, 2.1 thousand trees planted or a distance of 514 thousand kilometers by a conventional vehicle.

TranspoTech Comments on Investment in Electric Cars

The CEO of TranspoTech, Ricardo Cristiano Oribka, points out that the investment in electric cars is yet another demonstration of alignment with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda.

According to Ricardo, the company has been working for many years aware that using electric forklifts is not the future but the present of the market. It is only fair to use the same technology for the transportation of the company’s teams, both commercial and service.

For TranspoTech’s fleet and ESG manager, Maurício Morauer, the investment in electric cars will encourage other companies to take similar action. Maurício states that the company is already a reference in terms of sustainability, transparency, and inclusion and emphasizes that the company always aims to inspire the market so that the future is viewed with more attention.

Get to Know the Company

With 20 years completed this year, TranspoTech is a specialist in transportation equipment solutions, operating in the sale and rental of forklifts for intralogistics and also providing technical assistance for forklifts of various brands, being authorized Linde and Still in Brazil.

Another highlight of the company is the maintenance of a department that has over R$ 9 million in parts and offers quick support service. The company always seeks to offer products, services, and solutions with quality, responsibility, and trust, always with the mission of meeting and exceeding the expectations of its clients, suppliers, brands, and society as well.

Currently, the company has more than 400 employees, of which 180 are trained technicians ready to meet any needs of the forklifts.
