The Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) opened registrations for the 2025 Entrance Exam Selection Process of the Open University of Brazil System (UAB/UFAL), as established in Notice No. 09/2025 – PROGRAD/UFAL. The initiative offers 600 spots for free degree courses in the online (EAD) and blended formats, providing an excellent opportunity for free higher education.
The offered free undergraduate courses have as main objective to qualify public school teachers and others interested in teaching. Classes will be conducted in the online (EAD) and blended formats, with practical activities at in-person hubs. The workload and assessments will be defined according to the pedagogical plans of each course, including forums, seminars, and exams.

The selection process provides 600 spots, distributed among teaching hubs in Arapiraca, Boca da Mata, Coruripe, Maceió, Maragogi, Matriz de Camaragibe, Porto Calvo, Olho D’Água das Flores, Santana do Ipanema, and Teotônio Vilela.

Selection Process
The selection will be based on the average of the Portuguese Language and Mathematics subjects from High School. The spots are divided between Group 1, designated for public school teachers, and Group 2, for candidates who have completed High School or obtained certification through ENEM or ENCCEJA. In addition, there are reserved spots for affirmative action candidates, including self-declared black, brown, indigenous, and people with disabilities.
Registration Requirements
Those interested in the undergraduate programs must have completed High School by the registration deadline. For Group 1, proof of effective ties with the public education network is required. Additionally, candidates must attach the required documentation in the Federal University registration system.
