An abandoned car for decades became an internet star. A man found a classic Ford Mustang from 1968, abandoned for 35 years inside a barn in the United States.
The vehicle was covered in dust and rust, but that did not stop the new owner from restoring it and making it function perfectly again.
The story was shared on the Pole Barn Garage channel on YouTube. Dedicated to restoring classic cars, the channel features videos with practical tips for those who like to get their hands dirty. According to the creator, the content is made “by an average guy, for average guys“.

Goodbye falls: Singaporean company Omoway begins production of a motorcycle that doesn’t fall and surprises the market by offering automatic balance technology that reduces accidents and transforms the urban riding experience.
The Mustang was purchased for US$ 3,000. The first step of the process was simple: washing the body with a hose and cleaning the interior of the vehicle. Inside, the YouTuber found items such as a spare tire, old tools, and even a forgotten gallon of antifreeze.

Broken Parts And Rust Did Not Dissuade The Restorer
Despite its compromised appearance, the overall structure of the car was surprising. However, some parts were in critical condition. “The hood hinges are completely smoke-damaged and broken“, the YouTuber stated in the video.
He needed to replace or upgrade essential components such as the radiator, water pump, fuel lines, tank, and brakes. He also replaced the old two-cylinder carburetor with a new four-cylinder one.
The rust, which affected various parts of the interior, was treated with a special coating, which helps to contain damage and reduce noise and vibrations. Later, the bottom of the car received a new carpet.

Results Impress After Just One Week Of Work
According to the restorer himself, the entire restoration took about a week. The short time did not compromise the result. After starting the engine, the headlights and taillights worked normally.
“When all is said and done, you have a genuinely mediocre sports car that isn’t good at anything“, the YouTuber joked. “But it’s a Mustang.”
The most impressive part was that, after 35 years sitting, the car still performed remarkably well. The test drive alongside his wife was proof of that. “This is a phenomenal car“, he declared. “What I accidentally made here was simply the car I would have driven in high school.“

In the comments of the video, users praised the transformation. “You just made US$ 5,000 on that car with minimal spending“, said one of the followers.
The story went viral as an example of passion for cars and how an old find can come back to life with a little dedication.
