One of the Most Discussed Assistance in Congress Discussions Has Been Diesel. Check How to Ensure This Assistance
The agenda is part of the open front, which is led by Arthur Lira. They are continuing the debate over adjustments in the price of gasoline and diesel. Check below who may receive it, how, and how much should be paid.
What is Diesel Assistance? And What is Its Objective?
In fact, it is a R$ 400 assistance that benefits over 900,000 truck drivers. Many people are unaware of it because it was launched only a year ago.
The diesel assistance aims to help with expenses related to fuel, due to the increasingly high prices in the country. Additionally, it also aims to mitigate the impacts caused by the consecutive increase in freight prices.

Despite the announced amount being R$ 400, this figure has not met the expectations of some truck drivers. Therefore, President Jair Bolsonaro, along with the leadership of Congress, is reevaluating the amount.
The intention is to pay around R$ 600 to R$ 1,000. An increase in the gas voucher was also considered, along with this assistance. These measures will only be possible given the possibility of declaring a state of emergency.
Who is Entitled to Receive the Benefit?
Like most assistance provided by the government, this will also be released to families registered in the CadÚnico (Unified Registration). However, there will be some restrictions regarding the diesel assistance.
This is because, as mentioned at the beginning, diesel assistance is a benefit provided by the government and directed to independent truck drivers, regardless of whether they are low-income or not.
It is worth noting that the possible changess are being analyzed, but the workers’ expectation is that the amount will be adjusted, as the prices of fuels gasoline, ethanol, diesel, and CNG are on the rise in the country.
