With the Qualifica Mais Progredir Program, the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) is Offering 25 Places in Free Courses for Those Receiving Auxílio Brasil (Family Grant)
A partnership between the Municipality of Betim and the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) will offer free courses for those who are beneficiaries of the Auxílio Brasil, which replaces the Family Grant. The goal of the Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) is to train around 500 people in the coming year. For the initial moment, as the first class, 25 places in free courses are being offered at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV).

In this training, participants in the free courses will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in a workshop on how to plan, open, and manage their own business, that is, for those planning to become Individual Microentrepreneurs.
According to Cleusa Lara, municipal secretary of Social Assistance and vice mayor of Betim, through the course, residents who currently rely on Auxílio Brasil will be able to expand their opportunities in the job market and, consequently, the possibility of having a more significant income to move beyond basic needs and realize their dreams.

The mission of the important partnership with the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) is mainly to promote training and preparation to enable a better quality of life, with achievements and accomplishments.
Free Courses Available at UFV
In total, there will be 160 hours of classes in person, which will take place at the Superintendence of Labor, Employment and Income (SETER), located at Rua Tito Pedrosa, 55 – Centro, Betim. It is worth noting that the classes will be taught by professors from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) at the Florestal campus.
In addition to graduating for free, beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil will also receive snack assistance, transportation assistance, and also an aid amounting to R$ 320 from UFV. To participate, it is necessary to be registered in CadÚnico, receive the Auxílio Brasil benefit, be 18 years old or older, reside in Betim, and have completed elementary school.
Candidates who meet these requirements and wish to participate in the free courses at the Federal University of Viçosa should go to the headquarters of the Superintendence of Labor, Employment and Income, at Rua Tito Pedrosa, No. 55, to register.
Qualifica Mais Progredir Program
João Roma, Minister of Citizenship, emphasized the important role of the two programs, Qualifica Mais Progredir and Auxílio Brasil, which prioritize social evolution. Thus, the Federal Government combines two stages of the process and offers financial education to various people, opening up professional qualification opportunities for more people to enter the increasingly rigorous job market.
The Qualifica Mais Progredir Program is a government action plan for generating employment, income, and promoting the autonomy of various people registered in CadÚnico.
The program includes an application for these individuals, who can access free professional qualification courses, a section for creating resumes, job vacancies, and the possibility of accessing microcredit to start a business. All are provided by partner companies or public entities at no cost.
