With a total of 907 free spots available, distributed among the undergraduate EAD courses in Computing, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education, and Pedagogy, the initiative represents a unique opportunity for students seeking a quality and flexible education, according to the official UFJF website.
Partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB)
The distance learning undergraduate courses at UFJF are developed in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB), in various support centers located in cities such as Andrelândia, Barão de Cocais, Barroso, Bicas, Boa Esperança, Cambuí, Carandaí, Carangola, Cataguases, Congonhas, Conselheiro Lafaiete, Corinto, Durandé, Governador Valadares, Ilicínea, Ipanema, Itamonte, Lagoa Santa, Lavras, Sete Lagoas, and Varginha.
Those interested in the distance learning undergraduate courses can compete for one of the spots through two admission modalities. The first, which covers 70% of the spots in the distance learning undergraduate courses, is intended for the general public and takes into account the average grades in Portuguese and Mathematics from high school, with the presentation of the academic record. The second modality, which represents 30% of the available spots, is aimed at public school teachers currently working, without a higher education initial qualification or without training in the area in which they work.
