Unique Opportunity at Federal: UFJF Opens 907 Free Spots in Distance Learning Undergraduate Courses. Sign Up Now!

The Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) has just released the announcement for the selection process for admission to distance learning undergraduate courses. With a total of 907 free spots available, distributed among the undergraduate EAD courses in Computing, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Education, and Pedagogy, the initiative represents a unique opportunity for students seeking a quality and flexible education, according to the official UFJF website.

Partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB)

The distance learning undergraduate courses at UFJF are developed in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB), in various support centers located in cities such as Andrelândia, Barão de Cocais, Barroso, Bicas, Boa Esperança, Cambuí, Carandaí, Carangola, Cataguases, Congonhas, Conselheiro Lafaiete, Corinto, Durandé, Governador Valadares, Ilicínea, Ipanema, Itamonte, Lagoa Santa, Lavras, Sete Lagoas, and Varginha.

Those interested in the distance learning undergraduate courses can compete for one of the spots through two admission modalities. The first, which covers 70% of the spots in the distance learning undergraduate courses, is intended for the general public and takes into account the average grades in Portuguese and Mathematics from high school, with the presentation of the academic record. The second modality, which represents 30% of the available spots, is aimed at public school teachers currently working, without a higher education initial qualification or without training in the area in which they work.

Enrollment and Results for Distance Learning Undergraduate Courses

Enrollment for the selection process can be done online, on the Copese website, CLICK HERE, between February 2 and 29. The enrollment fee is R$150, and payment must be made exclusively at Banco do Brasil. The final result is expected to be released on March 25, on the Copese website.

Candidates wishing to request a fee waiver must do so during the online registration, between February 2 and 14. The list of candidates with approved waivers will be published starting February 20, on the Permanent Selection Committee (Copese) website.

Candidates approved for the course spots must stay tuned to the Academic Affairs and Records Coordination (Cdara) website for information about the dates, deadlines, and required documents for enrollment. Classes are scheduled to start on April 15, 2024.
