For 14 Months, Omexom Carried Out the Transition from the Old to the New System While the Plant Was Still in Operation, Generating the Least Possible Impact on Renewable Energy Production.
The scope of the modernization included the replacement of the entire Alternating Current Auxiliary Electrical System, as well as some of the most important supplies for the main systems of the plant, such as the spillway, ventilation for the step-up transformer, generator operator control, synchronization compensators, and the cooling and adjustment of the protection system for the generating unit. Over 90 racks for electrical panels were supplied in the main scope.
