Therefore, in total, 23,103 prizes were delivered, totaling R$ 2.8 million in a single monthly draw.

Social entities also compete and receive donations through Nota Paraná
The program goes beyond individual benefit. Currently, 1,991 civil society entities are registered with Nota Paraná, operating in the areas of social assistance, health, animal defense and protection, culture, and sports.
These organizations receive credits from tax invoices donated by participating consumers and, since September 2023, also compete monthly for 40 prizes of R$ 5 thousand in the program’s draws.
How Nota Paraná works and what participants can win
The program is an initiative of the Paraná State Department of Finance to encourage consumers to demand a tax invoice for their purchases. In practice, by including their CPF on the fiscal coupon, the buyer receives back part of the ICMS (Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services) collected by the establishment.
Accumulated credits can be:
- Transferred directly to a bank account;
- Used to reduce the IPVA value.
In addition, each tax invoice with CPF generates automatic tickets for the monthly draws — as proven by the R$ 1 million prize winner, who only needed five purchases to compete.
