Petrobras and Engeko’s New Investment Plan Promises Billions and Thousands of Jobs, Capturing Market Attention
Brendon Rodrigues, Head of Innovation and Portfolio at ValeCard, comments that the import of diesel at favorable prices has been an influencing factor in the national market. However, with the volatility of oil prices and possible interventions from Petrobras, the future of diesel prices remains uncertain.
Ethanol and Gasoline: Stability and Economic Advantage
During the same period, the price of hydrated ethanol at gas stations fell slightly, with a national average of R$ 3.696 per liter. Mato Grosso offered the lowest price, while Amazonas recorded the highest average. Brendon Rodrigues notes that the reduction in ethanol prices reflects the high production volume from the plants, positively impacting prices for distributors.
Regarding gasoline, there was price stability, with a national average of R$ 5.864 per liter. Rio Grande do Norte presented the most affordable price, while Roraima had the highest average. The trend for gasoline is relative stability, unless there are significant adjustments from Petrobras or changes in external factors affecting its price.

The weekly analysis offers valuable insights for consumers and companies in the sector, highlighting the importance of monitoring these variations for informed decision-making.
