Tevva Is Working on the Development of an Electric Truck with a 105 kWh Battery That Guarantees 227 KM of Range When Fully Charged.
The Tevva is a British brand of electric trucks that has recently received approval from the UK government to begin mass production of its vehicles. The company plans to not only serve the local market but also expand its sales to other countries in Europe.
The first model to be produced will be the 7.5 Ton Tevva, which was inspired by the Iveco Eurocargo and has a design similar to the Tector sold in South America. Tevva claims that the truck’s batteries have a capacity of 105 kWh, which ensures a range of up to 227 kilometers when fully charged.
Additionally, the company also provides a fuel cell variant that can achieve a range of up to 500 kilometers.

Tevva plans to sell one thousand electric trucks in 2023 and reach 6,000 annual sales by 2024, when production capacity will be increased. The company hopes to expand its sales to markets such as Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

The Manufacturing of Tevva Electric Trucks Is Good News for the Transport Industry as These Vehicles Have Less Environmental Impact and Are More Cost Efficient
Furthermore, Tevva offers different options for range and payload capacity, meeting the needs of various customers. The prospect of expanding sales to other European markets is also positive, as this increases the chances of the company’s success.
It is important to highlight that Tevva is not the only player in the electric truck market. Other brands, such as Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo, are also investing in electric and hybrid vehicles for freight transport. However, Tevva stands out for its ability to offer fuel cell options, which is a differentiating factor compared to other brands.
The fuel cell is a technology that allows energy to be stored in a chemical solution, which is converted to electricity when needed. This means these vehicles can travel long distances without needing to stop for recharging, which is an advantage for companies that need to transport goods over long distances.
