Supply and Installation of 24 V136-4.5MW Wind Turbines by Independent Power Producer. Witberg Wind Farm. Active Output Management 5000 Contract.

The company Red Rocket placed an order for turbines with Vestas for the Witberg Wind Farm, located in South Africa, and the contract includes the supply and installation of 24 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) contract. Red Rocket’s CEO, Matteo Brambilla, stated that ‘this project will be the largest privately owned wind farm built in South Africa to date and will significantly contribute to the region’s energy landscape’. He also emphasized the importance of the partnership with Vestas for the success of the venture.

Vestas, known as a renowned wid turbine manufacturer, was praised by the company’s CEO for its versatility and contribution to the country’s energy transition. The delivery of the turbines is scheduled for the second half of 2024, and commissioning is expected in the first quarter of 2025, reinforcing Vestas‘ commitment to sustainable development and renewable energy.
