Africa has about 500,000 cell towers and most still burn diesel to operate, while companies rush to cover antennas with solar energy and avoid signal blackouts.

Migrant workers left the world’s largest renewable energy park in India after extreme heat, 12-hour shifts, delayed wages, and poor accommodations at a site that still promises to supply 18 million homes.
The AES Corporation’s request reinforces its commitment to the expansion of wind energy in the region, with the commissioning of the turbines scheduled to boost renewable energy generation. The project aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the community, taking advantage of favorable conditions for clean energy production in Navajo County.
With the addition of the V150-4.5 MW turbines, the wind energy generation capacity in the region will be significantly increased, promoting the diversification of the local energy matrix. AES Corporation reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability by investing in cutting-edge technologies to drive the transition to renewable energy sources.
The order for V150-4.5 MW wind turbines underscores AES Corporation’s vision to lead the energy transformation while contributing to the local economy and job creation. The partnership with the community and local authorities demonstrates a commitment to the responsible and sustainable development of operations in Navajo County.
