WEG S.A. (B3: WEGE3 / OTC: WEGZY) announced to its investors and the market in general its plan to enter the wind energy segment in the United States. The strategy includes using its facility in Minneapolis/MN, specialized in high-voltage motors and generators, to gradually start producing its line of 7.X MW wind turbines.
The initial investments for this factory expansion project are modest and have already been integrated into the capital budget approved by WEG, promising excellent opportunities in the wind energy market in the United States.
