Federal Institute Offers 240 Spots in Free Technical Courses. Study with a Subsidy of R$ 360 and Obtain Your Certificate!
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) announced the opening of registrations for free technical courses aimed at youth and adults, starting in the second semester. The registrations are available until June 3 and cover various locations, including Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Coxim, Jardim, and Três Lagoas.
There are 240 spots for technical courses in Administration, Building Construction, Computer Science for the Internet, and IT Maintenance and Support. All courses will be held in the evening. Participant selection will be conducted through an electronic lottery.
The Free Technical Courses Are Detailed in Two Distinct Notices Published on the IFMS Selection Central:
- Notice No. 086/2023: Directed toward subsequent technical courses for candidates who already have a high school diploma.
- Notice No. 087/2023: Aimed at integrated technical courses with high school, in the Youth and Adult Education modality (Proeja), intended for individuals over 18 who have completed elementary education.
For Proeja students, the IFMS offers monthly scholarships exceeding R$ 360, funded by the Bolsa-Formação (EJA-EPT) program of the Secretariat of Professional and Technological Education (Setec) of the Ministry of Education (MEC).

More than 200 free and fully online courses with certificates are open for registration for people from all over Brazil, in areas such as technology, programming, management, and languages, and can be secured without fees, without a selection process, and only with a CPF and email until the end of June.

Take a free technical course and earn R$ 300 per month: there are 60 open slots in free technical courses to study Electrotechnics or Production Planning and Control (PPC) with support from SENAI-MS and the Bataguassu City Hall.

Half of the Spots Are Reserved for Students from Public Schools
Half of the spots are reserved for students coming from public schools, with additional quotas for candidates with low family per capita income, self-declared black, mixed-race, and indigenous, as well as people with disabilities. Candidates selected through quotas must prove their eligibility at the time of enrollment, under penalty of reclassification.

Registration
The registration process must be done online through the Candidate Page on the Selection Central, where interested parties must provide personal information, choose the desired course and shift, and decide whether to compete for open spots or quotas. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address registered by the candidate after completing the registration.
