The contract extension for another two years is based on a global and long-term partnership between Wood and Equinor, which encompasses the oil company’s operations in the United Kingdom, Norway, and Brazil.
Wood employs around 500 staff to fulfill the contract, which is reimbursable.
During the upcoming maintenance campaign, scheduled for May 2024, the team will be based on an offshore flotel, a vessel that operates as a floating hotel, to enhance productivity levels.

“The maintenance and upgrade modifications delivered by our team will extend the lifespan of these assets, essential for energy security,” he said.
Meanwhile, the general manager of Wood for Brazil, Hugues Corrigan, emphasized that the eight-year relationship with Equinor in Brazil is built on a well-established history of asset knowledge and mutual trust.
“Our commitment to excellence, relentless focus on safe operations, and unwavering dedication to understanding our clients’ evolving needs have been fundamental in ensuring this win,” he said.
