Lean Methodology
Fábio Teixeira, general logistics manager at Cassol Centerlar, will address the application of Lean methodology in retail operations for construction materials. Fábio adds that using this methodology allows for efficiency gains and service levels, transforming logistics into a sales-promoting tool.
“Logistics has undergone a transformation over the years, and after the pandemic, it has taken on a central and fundamental role in commercial strategies,” points out the specialist. Fábio further states that logistics today is directly responsible for the main decision-making, not only for the company but especially for the customer. “Thus, having an operation with processes focused on customer needs is what transforms logistics from being a detractor to being a sales promoter.”

The company is the 1st in Southern Brazil in the construction materials sector, the 5th largest retail company for building materials in the country, and the company in the South with the largest ready-to-deliver stock. In addition to physical sales, the sales channels include e-commerce, telemarketing, and direct sales to businesses, builders, and condominiums.
