Xiaomi Has Just Announced Its Newest Electric Scooter, This Time with Shock Absorber Systems and Safety Features for Night Rides.
Xiaomi, a Chinese electronics company, announced a series of new products at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), which officially opened this Monday (27) in Barcelona, Spain. One of the products that caught attention was the Electric Scooter 4 Ultra, a scooter with a range of 70 km.
Electric Scooter Features Night Safety Features
As the first Xiaomi electric scooter with a double suspension system, the new version promises smoother and safer rides even on uneven terrain, according to the manufacturer. The 10-inch (25.4 cm) DuraGel tires, puncture-proof and self-sealing, provide greater stability during the ride.
The Xiaomi model also features a higher chassis, improving visibility for the user. Additionally, it has a body made of high-strength aluminum alloy. The specifications of the Electric Scooter state that it can carry up to 120 kg.

Safety features for night rides are another very attractive characteristic that Xiaomi presented in the 4 Ultra, such as front and rear lights controlled via the digital display installed on the handlebars. The lights can also be configured in the Mi Home app, which provides trip data, battery duration, and malfunction notifications, along with other important information.
Xiaomi Electric Scooter Has a Range of 70 km
Featuring a 940W motor, the electric scooter from the Chinese brand can reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h, easily tackling slopes with an inclination of up to 25%, according to Xiaomi itself.
The motor is powered by a 561.5 Wh battery. A full charge takes about 6.5 hours with a 124W fast charger. It is important to mention that the 70 km range of the Xiaomi electric scooter may be affected by the selected riding mode.
There are a total of 4 options, including the Pedestrian mode for low speed and the Sport mode for maximum power. The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra will be available in selected markets starting at the end of next month. In Europe, the model will cost around 999 euros, which in direct conversion at current exchange rates amounts to about R$ 5,5 thousand, excluding taxes and fees.
Another Scooter Model from Xiaomi
In June last year, the Chinese brand launched the Mi Electric Scooter in Brazil, which is mainly recommended for those living in metropolitan areas and looking to facilitate urban mobility sustainably and practically due to its electric motor and battery, providing performance efficiency without having to face heavy traffic.
The scooter is compatible with the Mi Home APP, available for iOS and Android, allowing users to check speed, available battery level, and distance traveled, all in real time. The minimalistic and modern design of the Mi Electric Scooter won the Red Dot “Best of The Best” and iF Design Award 2017.
The “slim” look of the electric scooter, available in white and black, was created, like its successor, with aerospace-grade aluminum alloy focused on ensuring safety and stability during use. Weighing around 12 kg, the equipment is foldable and has 8.5-inch (21.59 cm) non-slip tires capable of absorbing impacts from surfaces.
