The FPSO Atlanta Has Production Capacity of 50,000 BOPD and Maximum Offloading Storage Capacity of 1,251,000 BBL, Promoting Sustainability with a Focus on Decarbonization.
A major naming ceremony was held at Drydocks World in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on December 13, 2023, to officially name FPSO Atlanta, the latest addition to the Yinson Production fleet. With a production capacity of 50,000 BOPD and a maximum offloading storage capacity of 1,251,000 BBL, the FPSO Atlanta will feature an efficient carbon management process plant, significantly reducing combustion gas emissions through a closed combustion system. Yinson Production and Enauta signed a letter of intent regarding FPSO Atlanta in December 2021, and subsequently signed firm contracts for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation, operation and maintenance.
The engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of the FPSO Atlanta Vessel are consistently progressing, with the vessel expected to leave the shipyard in the first quarter of 2024 and achieve first oil in the second quarter of 2024. Upon completion, the asset will be deployed in the Atlanta field located in the Santos basin, offshore Brazil. The FPSO Atlanta Vessel will be the second of three FPSO assets that Yinson Production will deploy in Brazil. The third asset from Yinson Production for Brazil is currently under construction in China and is expected to set sail for the Jubarte field in the first half of 2024.
