American Company Strengthens Collaboration With Brazilian Oil And Gas Giant With Contracts Worth Up To US$ 183 Million For Steel Pipe Supply
Oceaneering, a technology company from the United States, has expanded its partnership with Petrobras, securing two contracts that represent expected net revenue between US$ 120 million and US$ 183 million for the supply of steel pipes, according to Offshore Energy website.
The Manufactured Products segment of Oceaneering has secured two contracts with Petrobras, considered significant, for the supply of up to 362 kilometers of steel pipes and thermoplastic electro-hydraulic umbilicals, as well as associated subsea distribution hardware, intended for offshore projects in Brazil.
Production And Deadlines
Manufacturing is scheduled to take place at the company’s facilities in Niterói, Brazil, with final delivery of the steel pipes expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Previous Partnerships
In October of last year, the two companies signed a five-year contract for the operation of drilling pipe riser systems (DPR) in Brazil. The wholly-owned subsidiary of Oceaneering, Marine Production Systems of Brazil, is operating three existing DPR systems to support intervention and completion operations.
In March 2024, Oceaneering announced the completion of the first onshore piloting of a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from an onshore remote operations center (OROC) in Brazil, carried out in partnership with Petrobras.
