The investment for the implementation of the new transmission line project is R$ 484 million and directly involves the municipalities of Salvador, Camaçari, and Sapeaçu – Bahia.
With a letter of intent signed with SDE last Wednesday (15/07), the project is expected to begin construction this year.
“The implementation of this large network will significantly increase the economic development of the Metropolitan Region of Salvador (RMS) and the Recôncavo,” says the Deputy Governor and Secretary of Economic Development, João Leão.
According to the CEO of MEZ Energia, the construction of the new SE Pirajá 230/69 kV will assist in the implementation of the New Tramo III, which will take the subway from Salvador to Águas Claras.
“Another benefit generated by the project, this time, by the implementation of the 500 kV line that will connect the Sapeaçu Substation to the Camaçari IV Substation, will be the increase in the capacity to transport the new wind and solar generators located in the northern/northeastern region of the country,” said the executive. The full operation of the line is scheduled for 2023.
