Temporary Job Vacancies Forecasted by Asserttem Have Great Influence from Christmas, Which Will Generate Many Jobs
According to Asserttem – Brazilian Association of Temporary Employment, it is expected that, even with the economic crisis caused by the new pandemic, 400,000 temporary job vacancies will arise at the end of this year. In September, new temporary positions already had a 42% increase compared to last year. The Christmas season will be largely responsible for the new jobs.

Marcos de Abreu, president of the association, stated that “With the approach of Christmas, commerce will open many temporary job vacancies. Thus, those who are unemployed should pay attention to these opportunities that will arise.”
Abreu mentioned that interested parties can visit a list of registered institutions linked to the Ministry of Economy, organized by state. “During this pandemic period, we estimate that 20% of temporary workers will be hired permanently. It is a quite significant number,” concluded the president of Asserttem.

In September, the opening of temporary job vacancies in the country already saw a considerable increase compared to last year. According to data from the association, 186,940 positions were created, compared to 131,761 in the same period of 2019, representing a 42% increase.
For the month of October, Asserttem expects the majority of the new temporary job vacancies in the industrial sector, focusing on food, agribusiness, metallurgy, mining, automotive, pharmaceutical, and packaging.
