With 500 Job Openings, Ceará Offers Opportunities for Cooks, Waiters, Busboys, General Service Assistants, and Bartenders. See How to Participate and Increase Your Chances of Employment!
The Institute of Development of Labor (IDT), in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants of Ceará (Abrasel CE), will hold a Job Fair on October 30 and 31 to fill approximately 500 vacancies in the food service sector. The event will take place at Senac Reference in Fortaleza and will be open to the public from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Opportunities for Various Professional Profiles
Among the vacancies offered are positions for cooks, waiters, busboys, general service assistants, bartenders, and professionals for administrative areas, such as managers and supervisors. The initiative aims to attract both experienced workers and those seeking their first job, as well as to create opportunities for people with disabilities, thereby promoting greater inclusion in the labor market.
These opportunities will be offered for temporary contracts as well as for indefinite periods, depending on the needs of the establishments. This variety allows both those seeking a permanent position and those looking for temporary work to have the chance to apply.

Partnerships that Strengthen the Labor Market
This action involves the collaboration of IDT/Sine, Sebrae, Senac, School of Social Gastronomy Ivens Dias Branco, Celebre Consultancy, and the company M. Dias Branco. These partners have contributed to the training and qualification of professionals in the state, ensuring that workers are prepared to operate in the food and tourism sectors, which have been growing in Ceará.
According to the president of IDT/Sine, Raimundo Ângelo, the partnership with Abrasel reinforces the commitment to offer more job opportunities and inclusion. “IDT has been seeking new partnerships to strengthen inclusion policies in the labor market, and we have recorded an increase in job offers. We believe we are on the right track to combat unemployment and inequalities in the state,” he emphasizes.
For Taiene Righetto, president of Abrasel in Ceará, the Job Fair comes at a crucial time, as many companies are facing difficulties in filling open positions. “With the peak season and the arrival of temporary jobs, we hope to further increase opportunities, and the Fair becomes a link between establishments and professionals seeking a placement,” she stresses.
Registrations and Participation
Companies interested in participating in the Fair should register in advance through the form available at this link. Candidates wishing to apply for the vacancies need to bring documents and an updated resume on the day of the event. Additional information is available here.
This initiative not only contributes to the economic development of Ceará but also strengthens the bar and restaurant sector, especially at a time of high season and increased demand for quality services in the tourism and food sectors.
