Opportunities Are Aimed at Students and Graduates of High School and Cover Areas Such as Administration, Agribusiness, and IT
The Federal Institute of Northern Minas Gerais (IFNMG) is accepting applications for 800 spots in free distance learning technical courses, with evening classes and weekly in-person meetings. The opportunities are aimed at high school students and those who have already completed their education, with courses in the areas of Administration, Agribusiness, Internet IT, and Agriculture.
The spots are distributed among the Arinos campus and seven regional centers, notably in Bonfinópolis de Minas, Flores de Goiás, and Urucuia. The courses have a duration of one and a half years, a hybrid format, and are ideal for those who need to balance work and study.
How the Courses Work and Who Can Enroll
The courses are offered in two modalities:

Petrobras and SENAI open 480 spots in free technical courses with a scholarship of up to R$ 858, meal allowance, and training in Mechanics, Welding, Metallurgy, and Industrial Automation to meet the growing demand of the industry and the oil and gas sector.
- Technical Concurrent with High School: aimed at those who are in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school;
- Subsequent Technical: for those who have already completed high school.
There is also reserved spots for students from public schools, people with disabilities, and graduates from Family Agricultural Schools (EFA).
Classes will be held in the evening, with distance activities combined with weekly in-person meetings. This makes the courses more accessible for those who work during the day, in addition to providing free and quality technical training without leaving the region.
Distribution of Spots and Participating Centers
Below, see how the 800 spots are distributed among the regional centers:
- Arinos Center: 160 spots (four courses)
- Flores de Goiás: 160 spots
- Urucuia: 120 spots
- Bonfinópolis de Minas: 120 spots
- Buritis: 80 spots
- Formoso: 80 spots
- Lagamar: 80 spots
All courses follow the evening hybrid model, adhering to the teaching methodology of IFNMG, which combines virtual support with regular in-person supervision.
Deadlines and How to Enroll
The applications are free and will be open until August 10, 2025, exclusively through the IFNMG website. To enroll, it’s necessary to:

- Have a valid email

The electronic draw for the spots will be held on August 15 at 9 AM. The preliminary list of applicants will be released on August 14, and the final results will be announced on August 18, 2025.
