Currently, according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), Brazil has 3,171 thermoelectric units, with over 52 million kW of installed capacity, which represents about 24.4% of the granted electric matrix. To meet this important market, WEG has been continuously developing integrated and efficient solutions.

The Delivery of the WEG Solution Package Is Scheduled for April
The generation of its own energy will ensure that the thermoelectric plant of the largest potato producer in Brazil has greater operational safety, in addition to reducing the impact of the electricity variable on the final product cost. The solution also allows for the sale of excess energy generated, generating revenue for the company.
“It is an important investment in a complete solution. The generator, in particular, is an electric machine that operates below the temperature limit of the insulation class, meaning it operates cooler and has a longer lifespan, adding value to the plant. The steam turbine has reaction technology, which makes it more efficient. The customer spends less fuel to generate the necessary energy. Another advantage is that the turbine will provide steam to the process, making it even more efficient,” explains Paulo Sinoti, WEG’s Energy Business Director.
The provided power transformers are designed to ensure high performance in various applications and market segments, meeting the specific needs of each company. Additionally, the verticalization of manufacturing processes (in-house production of electro-insulating varnish, electrical conductors, tanks, insulating kits, paints, etc.) is a marked characteristic and differential of WEG, which allows for extensive quality control at various stages of production, as well as flexibility in delivery times.
The delivery of the WEG solution package is scheduled for April this year at a facility in Perdizes (MG), Brazil.
