RJ Will Align Solar Energy Service Tax Burden with Municipalities
In an assessment, deputy Luiz Paulo (Cidadania), special rapporteur for the RJ solar energy financing Bill, stated that the approval by Alerj will contribute significantly to the environment by saving energy and also improving the situation of public servants, considering that the energy bills for public servants will decrease with the use of renewable energy.
According to the Bill, the RJ government must align the tax burden of the service with the municipalities, taking into account the state policy to promote this source. Solar energy system suppliers should also be consulted about the service fees and prices. In addition, both private and public financial agents should be consulted to find solar energy financing models with more benefits for everyone.
Solar Energy by Subscription
A company from Sorocaba (SP) is developing a solar energy subscription program that will function like TV services, postpaid mobile plans, and others. The project was developed by the company responsible for the solar power plant in Araçoiaba da Serra, Sun Mobi.
The goal of the program is to reduce electricity consumption. Furthermore, the system, which will be installed by the company at no cost to the customer, will include a monitoring system that tracks data and alerts for potential high energy demands.
